1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Account information you provide — name, email address, username, and password when you register for the Service.
• Billing information — handled directly by our third-party payment processor when you subscribe. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, and limited billing metadata (such as the last four digits of a card or a subscription status); we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Usage and device information — collected automatically when you use the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, browser type, device type, and IP address, typically through cookies or similar technologies (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and process your subscription;
• Deliver the picks, predictions, and content the Service provides;
• Communicate with you about your account, billing, or changes to the Service;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the Service's performance and content; and
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.

We do not use your account or billing information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as a saved sort or display setting), and understand how the Service is used through basic web analytics. These are standard, functional and analytics-type cookies — we do not use cookies to build cross-site advertising profiles, and we do not run an EU-style cookie-consent banner because the Service is not directed at, and does not target, users in the European Union or other jurisdictions where such a banner is required. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect features like staying signed in.

4. Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. That processor collects and stores your full payment details directly and provides its own privacy notice governing that information; we encourage you to review it. Our role is limited to receiving confirmation of your subscription status and the billing metadata needed to manage your account.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — vendors who host our site, process payments, send email, or provide analytics on our behalf, and who are only permitted to use your information to perform those services for us;
• Legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Longleaf Picks, our users, or the public; and
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your account information as described in Section 8, subject to records we are required to keep (such as billing history).

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices & Rights

You can review and update your account information at any time by signing in, or by emailing us at the address below. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link included in those emails; you will still receive transactional emails related to your account and billing.

Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (such as California's) may give you the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 11 — we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a notice on the Service or by email). Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
